Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra and John Rutherford

I listened to the “Blackstone Audio Classic Collection” version of the book translated by Tobias Smollett. Structurally, it is fast-paced due to it being more a collection of adventures than one contiguous plot. The biggest surprise to me was that the humor was easily digestible and I found myself laughing aloud more than once.

My favorite adventure was the one about the Christian slave and the beautiful Moor escaping to Spain. I really enjoyed the book overall, but there were too many disconnected adventures for my taste.
